Penfield Golf Club is located at Salisbury South Australia which is about 25 km north from the Adelaide CBD. The Clubhouse and Course are entered off Woomera Avenue Edinburgh Parks.
The strategic marketing aim of the Club is to promote the playing of the game of golf by increasing our membership numbers by encouraging visitors and demonstrating to visitors the pleasures of playing the course, displaying the facilities and publicising the long term benefits of membership.
Penfield is a private golf club but we encourage members to bring visitors to the course. Unaccompanied visitors are also welcome to play outside competition playing times. Green fees are payable and visitors must comply with the club’s general rules, golfing etiquette and dress codes. To ensure the course is available check with the Secretary/Manager before coming out to prevent any inconvenience.
The course is 9 holes championship length, with excellent greens and fully grassed fairways and tees. Fairways are heavily tree lined and strategically bunkered to provide an interesting and challenging test of golf. There are two teeing areas on each hole to increase interest. The course is fully watered using non potable water supplies from the Salisbury Council aquifer replenishment projects. The 18 hole length is 5636 metres and par is 72. There is a large practice area with putting greens, bunkers and 200 metre practice fairway.
The clubhouse is fully licensed and open every day except Christmas Day and Good Friday. Visitors are very welcome. The bar is open from 10.00 am on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On other days the bar opens at 3.30 pm. Shower and toilet facilities are available throughout the day. Hire golf clubs are not available and buggies may be available on a restricted basis so please enquire when making your bookings.
Please check out the public access web pages at your leisure to find out more about the Club, the course and facilities and club history.
